World Airline Awards has conducted a survey
in 160 countries to decide the world’s best low-cost airlines. This award was
declared at Farnborough International Airshow held in England. The survey was
taken from millions of air travelers (close to 18 million travelers) over a period
of one year (June 2011 to July 2012).
Majority of the Asian airlines dominated
this list.
AirAsia once again emerges as the world’s best
low-cost airline. They have retained this position for the fourth consecutive
year.
Jetstar Airways moved one spot down from
its last year rankings to finish at 3rd spot and Virgin America
claimed the 2nd spot.
